The basics: using any calculator in 4 steps
- Pick the right tool. Go to the homepage and choose a calculator from its category. The “All calculators at a glance” table shows what each one needs and gives.
- Keep your numbers ready. Have your grade sheet, attendance record, pay slip or dates in front of you, so you enter real figures and not guesses.
- Enter the values and press Calculate. Fill every field the page asks for, using plain numbers and the correct unit. Use Reset to clear the form and start again.
- Check the result. Read the formula and worked example on the page, and compare. For anything official, confirm with your university, employer or the relevant authority.
Guides for each calculator
SGPA & CGPA Calculator
- Use the SGPA tab for one semester. Use + Add Subject for each subject, then enter its credits and grade.
- Switch to the CGPA tab to combine semesters. Add each semester’s SGPA and its credits.
- Use the grade scale from your own grade sheet. A common 10-point scale is O = 10, A+ = 9, A = 8, B+ = 7, B = 6, C = 5, P = 4.
Quick check: Mathematics 4 credits A+ (9), Physics 3 credits A (8), Programming 3 credits B+ (7). Credit points = 36 + 24 + 21 = 81. Total credits = 10. SGPA = 81 ÷ 10 = 8.1.
CGPA is weighted by credits. A plain average of semester SGPAs can come out slightly different when credit loads differ.
Open SGPA & CGPA CalculatorSRM CGPA Calculator
- Enter the grade and credits for every subject, exactly as they appear on your SRM result.
- Include every subject that your university counts towards CGPA, and leave out any it does not count.
Universities can treat audit, failed and repeated subjects differently. If your result does not match, check how your university counts them.
Open SRM CGPA CalculatorAttendance Calculator
- Enter the number of classes you attended and the total number held until today.
- The result shows your percentage, and how many classes you must attend or can still miss to reach the required level.
Quick check (75% requirement): 45 attended out of 55. Percentage = 45 ÷ 55 × 100 = 81.82%. Classes you can still miss = (4 × 45 − 3 × 55) ÷ 3 = 5.
Medical and duty leave are treated differently by different colleges. Check your rulebook before deciding whether those classes count.
Open Attendance CalculatorNegative Marking Calculator
- Enter the marks and penalty exactly as written in your exam notice, such as ¼ or ⅓ or ½ of a mark.
- Do not count unattempted questions as wrong. They score zero.
Quick check: 70 correct and 20 wrong at 1 mark each with ⅓ negative marking. Score = 70 − (20 × ⅓) = 70 − 6.67 = 63.33.
With four options and ⅓ negative marking, a blind guess is worth zero on average. Guessing only pays when you can rule out at least one option.
Open Negative Marking CalculatorNUST Aggregate Calculator
- Enter the marks from your result card and academic record.
- Treat the result as an estimate of your admission aggregate.
Weightage and merit rules can change from year to year. Always check the current admission notice from the university for the final formula and cut-off.
Open NUST Aggregate CalculatorDA Calculator
- Enter basic pay and the DA rate in percent.
- The result is the DA amount. Add it to basic pay to see pay plus DA.
Quick check: basic pay ₹50,000 at an illustrative 50% DA gives DA of ₹25,000 and basic plus DA of ₹75,000.
DA is usually revised with effect from January and July, and announcements often come later with arrears. Use the latest rate from your office order, not an old one.

- Enter your current basic pay and pay level, then try different fitment factors to see the range of outcomes.
- Compare the new basic pay with your current pay to see the increase.
Quick check: ₹50,000 basic at a factor of 2.00 gives ₹1,00,000. At 1.80 it gives ₹90,000.
This is an estimate, not a prediction. The final fitment factor and pay matrix will be decided and notified by the government.
Open 8th Pay Commission CalculatorExperience Calculator
- Enter the start date and the end date. The result is shown in years, months and days.
- If you have worked in more than one job, calculate each period and add them up. Make sure overlapping dates are not counted twice.
Quick check: 15 Jan 2022 to 20 Mar 2026 is 4 years, 2 months and 5 days.
Some employers also count the last working day. If yours does, add one day to the result.
Open Experience CalculatorAge Calculator (Between Two Dates)
- Enter the earlier date, such as your date of birth, and the later date.
- For eligibility checks, use the cut-off date written in the notification as the later date, not today’s date.
Quick check: 12 Mar 2000 to 31 Oct 2026 is 26 years, 7 months and 19 days.
Open Age CalculatorCash Denomination Calculator
- Enter an amount to see the fewest notes and coins that make it up, or enter your counts to get the total.
- The method starts with the largest note and moves down to smaller ones.
Quick check: ₹3,780 = 7 × ₹500 + 1 × ₹200 + 1 × ₹50 + 1 × ₹20 + 1 × ₹10, which is 11 notes.
